A person slips when they think they have to do more then who God called them to be to be successful,

when one should rest the situation in Christ by following His Statutes as through Christ who strengthens one to do the task by following His Statutes that is found by studying His Word that is what is successful because the identity is found by following The Way, The Truth, and The Life as His Ways have been shown to give life throughout history to today.
