The Bible Is The Most Read Book In The World Yet Why Still So Much Dysfunction?

Well, there are a lot of reasons why even though the Bible is the most read book and yet still dysfunction.

I believe it is because of the following reasons:

° Too many translations and the meaning gets lost.

° Certain people like to be their own “god” or follow another idol even though they “read” the Bible (It's possible that these certain people are not really looking for the Christian truth).

° Innocent misunderstandings can occur.

° It may not be read whole heartedly.

° Certain people just treat it as a Book and nothing more.

° Certain people can twist the meaning of certain things the Bible teaches to fit their doctrine.

Verses to back up and support:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (KJV)

4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

James 1:22 (KJV)

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)

3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15 (KJV)

14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV)

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Revelation 2:2 (KJV)

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)

1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Psalm 1:1-6 (KJV)

1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
