Since we see in Genesis to this day people are jealous and have been trying to stop who they are jealous of since the beginning of time. That is why we need God’s help in this manner. Especially when the jealous opponent happens to be in a state of power as another famous example we see in the Bible is how Esther helped save the Jews from jealous Haman. One has to seek God and perhaps help even from someone who is a real friend to help with the jealous bully. As long as you seek God for help and trust in Him no matter what He will get you through the situation.
