Whether it be around you, on the news, or an article you read, there always seems to be something negative. The question is “how do we keep our own minds and spirits UP during all sorts of pessimistic news?” It seems instead of people giving healthy advice they give pessimistic advice. Instead of people being helpful they put people down. The good news is there are a few that do show care and love because the ultimate person that does that is Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us to be of good cheer and to know that it’s only temporary. There is victory for those who belong and love Jesus, There is victory for those who love one another as the golden rule states. Don’t be a victim of pessimistic people; They are unfortunately all over. By pessimistic we mean people who are borderline wicked to being wicked. The Bible tells us that we will know them by their fruits. It is surprising to me to see the lack of love and the lack of helpfulness that is in our surroundings. God is a good God. He is the God of function. He encourages us to walk and function in love. We need to focus on love and hope. Instead of watching The news continuously we need to see what God wants. God wants us to have hope and love. To live a life to the fullist. To encourage and uplift one another. We need to share Bible verses, give words of encouragement, And proclaim the good news of Christ. We need to help address issues so we can see more clearly and live victorious lives. Above all acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I understand we need to give healthy criticisms however is it balanced with encouragement? This world is biased however God is fair and just. He sees everything and nothing passes Him. He wants us to see it clearly and have hope. God makes all things right for those who trust in Him.

One focuses on faith by completing trusting in Jesus. It is a form of surrender to Him. When one surrenders to Him it enables us and Him to work. Focus in these Scriptures means to see the big picture in life, quit being self reliant, and be strong in God. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (KJV) 13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. 14 Let all your things be done with charity. John 30:30 (KJV) He must increase, but I must decrease. James 4:10 (KJV) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God has always existed before all things. The God head is God The Father, Son, And The Holy Spirit. Three beings in one person. (Like people are spirit, soul, and body: three in one) God always has been and always will be God. He hads none before Him and none after Him and by Him He creates and created every good thing. He is the author of love. He is life. Colossians 1:17 (KJV) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 1 Corinthians 8:6 (KJV) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

We live in a very highly competitive and self centered world in general. However there are those who value the real things that matter in life. The simple things in life like a sunrise and sunset and being loving in action. When one realizes that they are only on Earth for a season then eternity, it puts things in perspective. Does anyone remember the richest person in the 1700s? Everything is passing is the point. Where are your values today? The main thing that matters is who is your trust in?—It should be in God our Lord Jesus. God is talking about faith in Mark 11:22-23 (KJV) 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Look at James 1 (KJV) about faith as well 1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. Look At What This man of faith did even though he was inadequate and had a life that wasn’t respectable in that time: Luke 19:1-10 (KJV) 1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. 2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house. 6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. 7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. 8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
