Jesus cares about us and tells us not to worry about anything (See 1 Peter 5:7). He also teaches us to turn from the evil ways and to pursue peace (See 1 Peter 3:11). Like a farmer when you sow and give peace you reap a harvest of peace (See James 3:18). God says that HE will give peace when HIS pursuing followers seek HIM and shun evil (See Psalm 85:8)

See there are laws and yes one should follow them if they are wise. Praying and seeking what God wants for ones life is important.
