We live in a very highly competitive and self centered world in general. with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word , which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world

It is always better to say something nice in wisdom and truth than to say nothing at all, or something in jest. Proper humor though, is necessary, or else things get dry. It is difficult to find proper humor these days I find. The sun and its warmth protected by the earth’s ozone i find as humor to protect from the dryness of currents.
